This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and delete information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (“Services”).
The mobile app is a field tool for assigned sign installation and maintenance. Campaign creation and campaign management are handled through the web application. PSM is not affiliated with any political party, candidate, committee, or government agency.
By using the Services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. Where applicable, we request consent before using non-essential cookies or analytics technologies.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Account and identity information
We may collect your name, email address, password hash, single-sign-on details, organization or campaign membership, role, profile information, subscription details, and billing status.
1.2 Location information
With permission, the Services may collect precise device GPS location when you choose to place or update a sign, sign coordinates that you enter or approve, and regions or zones defined for campaign coverage. The mobile app is not intended to continuously track your device in the background.
1.3 Campaign and sign information
We collect campaign and sign information you or your authorized team provide, including sign inventory, placement details, assignments, addresses, notes, status updates, maintenance records, and automated insights.
1.4 Photos and device permissions
The mobile app may request camera or photo-library permission so you can document signs. We may collect photos, videos, filenames, and related metadata that you choose to upload. The app may also request notifications and location permissions for field workflows.
1.5 Technical, diagnostic, and security information
We may collect IP address, device type, operating system, browser or app version, session information, log data, crash reports, performance data, diagnostic information, security events, and similar technical information. We may use Firebase Crashlytics or comparable diagnostic services.
1.6 Analytics and behavioral information
We may use Google Analytics 4, Firebase Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, tag-management tools, and similar services to understand website and app usage, measure feature adoption, identify errors and friction, improve onboarding, and monitor reliability. Depending on the service and your choices, this may include page or screen views, clicks, scrolls, feature steps, device and app version, event results, performance information, and website session recordings or heatmaps. We do not intentionally send passwords, authentication tokens, names, email addresses, phone numbers, contact addresses, exact GPS coordinates, route traces, photos, photo metadata, message text, voter information, political opinions, or complete payment details to these analytics tools. Analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies where permitted. You can control applicable cookie or analytics choices through our consent mechanism and device or browser settings.
1.7 Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe. PSM does not store complete payment-card numbers. PSM may receive billing, subscription, payment-status, invoice, and processor customer-reference information.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to provide and secure the Services; support sign placement, tracking, routing, assignment, and maintenance; operate maps and geolocation features; provide account and campaign communications; provide diagnostics and customer support; measure usage and improve the product; detect fraud, misuse, and security issues; process billing; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not use PSM analytics for political persuasion, voter profiling, or automated decisions about individuals.
3. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
The Services may use automated or algorithmic technologies to provide advisory insights based on information entered into the platform and to assist with campaign-related workflows. AI-generated content is advisory only. We do not use AI for political persuasion, voter profiling, or automated decision-making about individuals.
4. MAPPING AND LOCATION SERVICES
We use mapping and geolocation services for map views, address lookup, geolocation, distance, routing, and displaying sign locations. Google and other mapping providers may have separate privacy practices. See Google’s Privacy Policy. We do not share personal location information with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, such as hosting and storage providers, mapping providers, payment processors, email and notification providers, analytics and diagnostics providers, and security providers. We may share information with authorized campaign team members according to their roles. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to prevent fraud or misuse.
Service providers may process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices. Relevant providers may include Stripe, Google, Firebase, Microsoft Clarity, hosting providers, and notification providers, depending on the Services and features used.
6. COOKIES AND CHOICES
Our website may use essential cookies and, where permitted, analytics or similar technologies. You may control non-essential analytics choices through the consent mechanism presented on the website and through browser settings. Disabling some technologies may limit certain measurement or convenience features but should not prevent core account use where the feature is otherwise available.
7. DATA RETENTION AND ACCOUNT DELETION
While your account is active, we retain information as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, support active campaigns, maintain security, process billing, comply with law, and operate product measurement.
When you close or delete your PSM account, we keep account-linked information for no more than 30 days while deletion completes. After that period, we delete account-linked profile and authentication data, organization and campaign links, contacts, sign records, exact GPS and route information, original photos and metadata, device and session data, messages and support records, and PSM billing links from our production systems and applicable connected services.
Data that is part of another active campaign account may remain for that account’s authorized users, but we remove the closed user’s identity and personal links where feasible. Stripe and other providers may retain limited transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, security, or legally required records under their own policies.
We may create product-improvement metrics while an account is active or during the 30-day deletion period, but we delete those anonymous aggregate metrics as well. We do not retain raw photos, exact GPS, or aggregate metrics as a mining or analytics exception after the deletion period.
To request deletion or ask a question about deletion, email [email protected] with the subject “Account Deletion Request” and the account email address. We may verify the request before acting.
8. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS, password hashing, role-based access, monitoring, and secure payment processing. No system is completely secure.
9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, or object to certain processing, and to opt out of certain communications or analytics technologies. Contact [email protected] to exercise a right or ask a question.
11. MOBILE APPS AND APP STORES
The PSM mobile apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The apps should provide an in-app link to this Privacy Policy and an account-deletion path. Store privacy disclosures are intended to match the data collected by the released app and its third-party SDKs. Apple, Google, Stripe, Google Maps, Firebase, Microsoft, and other providers may have additional terms and privacy practices.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date.
